Adobe CC Workshop

On the 16th of July, EMRS Team 3 partnered with Asia Association Pte Ltd to organize an Adode CC Workshop from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. @ Nanyang Polytechnic, LTD-1.

Adobe CC stands for Adobe Creative Cloud, which is a package of 14 all-new versions of Adobe desktop applications, such as the widely used Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

Pre-event preparations
Being a newly formed team, we had 2 days to liaise with the Adobe organizers to plan and execute this Adobe CC Workshop. Our assigned Overall In-Charge (OIC) was Jeffrey and in the 2 days, he worked closely with the Adobe organizers to make sure the event would be well executed. Some of the preparation work included the logistics planning, registration details and the IT-related stuff.

We also placed directional signs and posters around the school to ensure publicity of the event and that participants could make their way to venue of the workshop easily.

Set-up and registration
Prior to the start of the event, we set up our registration booth just outside of LTD-1.

Actual Event

The workshop started promptly, and our speaker was Chris, an Adobe Certified Instructor from ACE Training. Chris is an Adobe Certified Expert, Instructor and Associate. He has even published a Photoshop Picture Perfect Book!

The power of Photoshop!

Many participants were extremely interested in the new features of the different applications, especially those studying IT or Design.

Some lucky students also managed to get their hands on certain Adobe merchandises, such as tumblers, notepads, and well-received books on Photoshop and Flash written by Chris and his colleagues. In conclusion, it was a fun-filled and engaging 2 hours in LTD-1, filled with many 'ooos' and 'ahhhs' as we were pleasantly surprised by the interesting features offered by the Adobe applications.
